I am not a Special Needs mom, however this book touched me in a way few books have. I smiled and cried from cover to cover. Erica writes beautifully from a very real and authentic place. What she had to share encouraged and convicted me as a woman of faith. Her principles are spot on, but she never came across "preachy." She just shared from the heart and I needed to hear what she had to say. It was touching to read of her victories, but I appreciated that she shared times when she felt defeated. Everyone who has ever struggled with wanting the Lord to work in a specific way or has faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles needs to read this book. By far the best book I have read this year!! (Once I started, I didn't put it down until I was done.) I highly, highly recommend it. You will be blessed, I promise!

Admittedly I’m not a special needs mother, however the message throughout this book strikes so many chords that any mother can relate to. The undertone of hope and compassion is beautifully woven through each chapter as your heart reels in the honesty and resilience that Erica writes about. Anyone that has faced adversity would find comfort in the pages of ‘Not Alone’. I highly recommend this book for anyone. Thank you Erica for shining such a bright light.
